French 19th-20th century Louis XV bombe shaped petit-bureau de dame (secretary). banded with a gilt rim. Six small drawers form the superstructure of the desk. A small gilt decorated (none working) clock is cantered above the drawers. The desk is fitted with a frieze drawer, attributed to FrancÌ§ois Linke (1855-1946). The pad feet and knees of the cabriole legs are decorated with a gilt leaf design and the front of the freeze drawer is similarly decorated with an extended carved leaf and bottom moulding. The Desk measures 5 inches high x 5 ¼ inches wide x 2 ¼ inches deep. (124 x 129 x 61mm) and is available in walnut with Gilt trim. Awesome finish !!!!!
